While vacationing in Costa Blanca, Spain, I've been struck by the volume of counterfeit goods sold at night markets. High-end brand bags football shirts, sunglasses, watches, clothes, and shoes and so on, are sold for a fraction of their original price. Everyone knows these items are counterfeit, yet the trade flourishes, raising questions about what's really going on behind the scenes.
